Africa Millennium Development Initiative (AMDI4Health) is an international consulting firm specialized in public health. Founded by Bachir Mbodj, a former WHO and UNICEF executive, AMDI4Health brings field expertise shaped by Africa's health realities.
Our approach is built on a rigorous methodology combining data analysis, strategic planning and local capacity building. We operate across sub-Saharan Africa, in partnership with health ministries, United Nations agencies and development organizations.
AMDI4Health supports the training of health workers, the development of national strategic plans and the implementation of innovative digital health programs serving the most vulnerable populations.

Founder & CEO – AMDI4Health
Dr Mohammed Bachir Mbodj is a physician, public health expert and senior African leader in health security, health systems and humanitarian action, with over 25 years of experience across West, Central and East Africa.
Throughout his career, he has held leading strategic and operational roles within the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and international humanitarian organizations, supporting governments, regional institutions and technical partners in health emergency preparedness and response, health systems strengthening and public policy transformation.
More recently, he helped steer major continental pandemic preparedness investments through the WHO Regional Office for Africa.
Driven by a strong conviction in African leadership, pragmatic innovation and high-impact partnerships, he founded AMDI4Health to support public and private actors in building health systems that are more resilient, smarter and better prepared for the challenges ahead.
